Who is PHNH?
We are a Pennsauken non-profit organization made up of a group of residents who share the mission to help fellow Pennsauken residents in need of a helping hand.
WHAT DO WE DO?
Neighbors Helping Neighbors offers one-time-only grants payable directly to a service provider for repairs, services, purchases or arrears accounts. Applications are open to Pennsauken residents only and demonstrate an emergency financial situation. Complete applications are reviewed once a month and all applicants are made aware of their award or declined award. Decisions are final, but applicants who are declined awards are permitted to submit an application at a later date.
WHY DO WE DO IT?
We understand that everyone goes through tough stretches in life. By working together to assist Pennsauken residents in need, we feel we can not only help the individual applicant, but ultimately the Pennsauken community as a whole.
HOW DO WE DO IT?
Funds are raised through private donations and local fundraisers.
WHEN DO WE MEET?
General membership meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month in the Community Room of the Pennsauken Free Public Library.
